HANNOVER Finanz GmbH was established in 1979 as a subsidiary of one of the major insurance companies in Germany called “Haftpflichtverband der Deutschen Industrie VaG (HDI)”. Since the management buy-out in 1993 the ownership of the company is as follows:

HANNOVER Finanz management: 25%
Hannover Re-Insurance Inc. (Hannover Rückversicherungs AG):25%
Life-Insurance (Deutscher Ring Lebensversicherungs AG): 10%
HF XI: 10 %
Insurance (Nürnberger Lebensversicherung AG): 10 %
Bank (M.M.Warburg & CO KGaA): 10 %
Gehrke Trust Ltd. (Gehrke Treuhand GmbH): 10 %
